- Just to let you know we had a really nice time the kids loved
it, we spent plenty of time on the beach at Houlgate (How nice
and olde worldy is that place, great restaurants) Then to come
back to the house and light up the big barbie, sitting in the
fantastic garden drinking wine listening to the birds as we did
most evenings , we also did see the red Squirrels only once. It
was bliss thanks. PS We will definitely return

3 - I have stayed at this house many times over the years, it
just gets better and better. There is everything and more that
you could wish for in a holiday home and then there is the superb
private gardens so peaceful and relaxing. There is plenty to see
and do nearby, and the lovely sandy beaches are near by. I look
forward to my next visit.

- Dear Paul, I thought I would write to thank you and to let you
know how much we enjoyed our holiday. We thought the house and
gardens were beautiful. The accomodation was excellent in every
respect, and we were very comfortable. Ken and I were especially
happpy with our room with the ensuite, and the other rooms and
the big bathroom were perfect for our daughter son-in law and
two grandsons. The two boys had such fun in the garden. We were
especially lucky with the weather which was perfect - much better
than we had hoped for. We were a little puzzled on the day we
arrived at the number of police that we saw as we came down the
autoroute and crossed the Pont de Normandie. Then they were on
every roundabout between Pont-L'Eveque and Douzle. We wondered
if someone had warned them that we were coming!! Later in the
Tourist Information office we discovered that the G8 meeting was
being held the following Thursday/Friday in Deauville. It didn't
make any difference to us - in fact it was quite exciting with
all the helicopters flying overhead - and we just gave Deauville
to Honfleur a wide berth until it was all over. Unfortunatly Ken
and I had to come home a couple of days early, as he needed an
operation which was booked in for Monday 6th of June, and we needed
to get back in time. We left the locking up in the capable hands
of our daughter, so I do hope that everything was alright. We
enjoyed our time in Normandy so much, and as there were plenty
of things that we did not get round to doing we hope that - health
allowing -we might get back to the area again in the future. Again,
many thanks. Hilary and Ken. Review added by Hillary &

5 - Hello Mr Baker we have really enjoyed our stay at your
house !! It was very comfortable, having the 2 bathrooms with
4 persons. The position is very good to visit the places we wanted
to see, no big distances. It is placed idyllic and quiet. Also
in the kitchen there was more than enough equipment, really good.
In comparison to other houses we stayed at which were very poorly
equiped. Again, we really enjoyed it and will recommend to others
!

6 - Hi Paul, Just returned from our holiday in France which
we enjoyed, thank you. The house is very spacious and in fabulous
grounds, it's definitely the "Get away from it all"
type holiday, and the directions you sent were spot on. It's great
that you are pet friendly as our Golden retriever Zack just loved
the garden, it's just a shame the weather wasn't too good for
the first five days but it cleared up towards the latter end of
the week. The house is very handy for Dozule, which had plenty
amenities and everything you need, banks, bakery's Supermarket
and the all important very nice Vet plus lots of other shops.
We were only a couple of hours drive from Mont.St, Michel which
is well worth a visit so are the war memorial museums at Pegasus
Bridge and D Day beaches, we learnt a lot about the horror's on
6th June 1944, how horrific that must have been for people. We
also enjoyed Port Guillaume, a lovely peaceful harbour to have
lunch or evening meal. Anyone visiting Dozule with a dog, the
Hotel Normande in the town allows you to have a meal in their
restaurant if your dog is well behaved, which Thankfully Zack
is. All in all, we saw some wonderful places and really enjoyed
our stay in France. Thank you so much.
